2021 - A new hope!
As we enter 2021, we hope for many things. We hope that the pandemic would get under control, getting us to a more "normal" life again; we hope for peace, that our country will be kind to one another no matter our differences; we hope for those of us that have been affected financially by COVID would see some better news. Each of us has hope for many things, we hope that yours will be realized this year!
Even though our business has been affected with the "shut downs", we continue to feel that it is important to "GIVE BACK".
Giving "new hope" on a regular basis, are the folks at WITH LOVE. This organization helps foster families find clothing, blankets, school supplies and other needed items, WITH LOVE was founded by a foster mom in need and today, with the support of amazing volunteers and generous sponsors, WITH LOVE provides for 120 Portland foster families each month. We at TCR Catering are proud to support WITH LOVE, during this first quarter of 2021, as our #Cateringforacause.
I can not believe that we are into the 10th month of this 2020. We never officially designated a recipient for our third quarter Catering for a Cause. I think that was mostly due to the COVID situation in the world and how troubled, for lack of a better word, things have been. We, thankfully, are continuing to have our doors open. Even in uncertainness for much of the time. I'm so incredibly thankful for all of our loyal customers that have continued to visit our food truck (The COOP!) and order boxed lunches and dinners, from our catering kitchen!
Even though we didn't allocate a large lump sum for this last quarter, we have tried to maintain our giving spirit and have donated ongoing to Bloomin' Boutique. We also helped to raise funds for the volunteers that help out at Cherrywood Village Retirement Community and are always contributing to our first responders. We so appreciate all fire, police, military and all front line workers! TEACHERS!!! Thank you!
In going into the last quarter of the year, and looking back at what we've been through, it's hard to say if we can give at the level that we would like to. However, we will be contributing to the Children's Center Virtual Gala and plan on sending support to the Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation. Each of these organizations rely on support from their community members, won't you see what you can do to help?
We are looking forward to a much brighter 2021!
Kids, it's all about the kids!
This second quarter of 2020 surely hasn't started off the best. We are experiencing something in the world that we have never had to go through before. It has been challenging, to say the least. But, as always, we at TCR want to reach out any way that we can.
We've so appreciated that our food truck, The COOP!, has been well received and that folks have been coming out to support us! We in turn will be supporting this AMAZING person and her organization, this quarter. #Cateringforacause.
Bloomin' Boutique. This non-profit organization, started by an AMAZING lady named Patti Serres. Not only does Patti own and operate, with her husband Dan, Serres Garden Center in Oregon City, but she is continually involved in many areas of the local community and bringing people together. Her organization, Bloomin' Boutique, which was formed in 2015, is dedicated to giving a hand up to underprivileged children, empowering them to become confident, constructive members of their communities. Bloomin' Boutique uses a referral process, partnering with other community organizations and agencies to provide these services. Your donations make a difference!

Benefiting our Beloved Brave
Three years ago, Clackamas County lost a very loving and giving soul, Teri Gant. Her remarkable ability to give all she had towards helping those in need, is part of what initially inspired TCR Catering to begin, Catering for a Cause. In honor of Teri, and all the joy and love she gave, we at TCR Catering feel so blessed to be able to continue Catering for a Cause...
In 2005, the American Military Encouragement Network began as an outreach to help support those who have or are currently serving their country. Over the years they have provided much needed supplies and assistance to soldiers, airmen, marines, sailors and military families. Forming a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit to increase their ability to support, A.M.E.N. continues today to be a valuable source of not just necessities, but also of hope and encouragement.
In 2018, A.M.E.N. grew into a warehouse in Clackamas. It was not long after, Clackamas County established the Veteran Village nearby. With needs rising, the A.M.E.N. Mercantile was opened, an area dedicated to providing free food, clothing, bedding, toiletries, and misc. items to all active duty, Veterans, and their families.
As part of our commitment to giving back to those in need, and our privilege to continue in Teri’s honor, the first quarter of 2020 will be dedicated to Catering for a Cause, in thanks for all the love and joy spread to our community, through the A.M.E.N. Mercantile. TCR Catering promises to donate a portion of all proceeds from this quarter, to this wonderful nonprofit, benefiting our beloved brave, and their families.
Helping those who help others...
Two Chick’s & a Rooster is proud to have made Clackamas County our home for the past 10 years. We care about our community and feel blessed to share this home with so many others who care as well. For the final quarter of 2019, TCR Catering will be Catering for a Cause in support of the amazing volunteers at CVIM. Clackamas Volunteers in Medicine provides compassionate primary medical and vision care to low income and uninsured adults living in Clackamas County.
At TCR Catering, we know how difficult life can be. And understand how it’s not easy to navigate through the inevitable trials and tribulations. We also understand the powerful impact of a helping hand. Supporting others in need, pouring love back, and spreading benevolence, can really make a difference in someone’s life. The volunteers at CVIM do just that. They work hard to provide much needed services to the folks in our community who unfortunately do not have access to health insurance. CVIM volunteers offer at no charge to the patient: prevention and health maintenance services, physical exams, specialist referrals, nutritional education, and much more. TCR Catering appreciates their efforts to “pay it forward,” and the positive impact it has on our community and those who live and work here.
We are honored to spend our final quarter of 2019, Catering for a Cause in support of the kindness spread by the CVIM volunteers.
And THANK YOU! Without YOUR support by choosing us as your caterer, we would not be able to do what we love. Every bite of TCR food helps spread joy, and this makes us SO happy!

It's hard to believe...
It's hard to believe that the first quarter of 2019 is over! Wow! It sure went fast!
During our first quarter we were keeping our #cateringforacause cause in mind.
Echo Ranch. We came across this wonderful place recently and can't be more excited to share their story with you!
They are a faith-based 501c3 organization dedicated to offering an environment of support and encouragement, which restores the heart, soul, and mind, and strengthens individuals and their families. Their desire is to offer each guest at their ranch, the awareness that they are a unique and irreplaceable person, loved by God (who has an amazing plan and purpose for their life)
Each guest, who desires to connect with a horse, will have the opportunity to ride, groom, or just pet a specially selected equine partner. They will also be paired with a mentor in a one-on-one session. Our sessions are flexible enough to allow the time required to best serve the individual needs of the person. It is their desire that through these experiences, their guests will learn to trust and grow in faith and confidence as they work with and build a partnership with the horse and mentor.
With your support, they are able to do this free of charge, in a faith-based and judgment-free environment.

Fourth Quarter Update
Thank you! We have had an amazing last quarter and we were so honored to be a part of so many wonderful weddings and other events. With that, our quarterly donation went out to OREGON FALLEN BADGE FOUNDATION. We are so thankful that we are able to contribute to causes such as this one.
For the last quarter of the year we would like to focus on FOOD. FOOD, we are all about feeding people. That is why, for our fourth quarter we will be donating to our local MEALS ON WHEELS program.
MEALS ON WHEELS provides an "in house" option.
The "in house" program serves lunch to those wanting to come in and enjoy a dining room setting. Their meals include a full balanced meal along with milk, coffee, also choice from a nice dessert and salad bar. Participating in their congregate dining room provides seniors with the opportunity to socialize and meet new friends, while enjoying a nice meal. Seniors and their family members or caregivers are invited to come in on a walk-in basis.
MEALS ON WHEELS: Their home delivered meals can be provided to home bound seniors in Oregon City, West Linn, Beavercreek and Redland areas. For persons over the age of 60 or those under 60 referred by Medicaid, Meals are provided five days per week (Monday-Friday) at the noon hour. Dietary options are available for diabetics and those needing low cholesterol and low no added sodium meals. Frozen meals are available for holidays and weekends as needed. The Meals on Wheels program can connect you with other programs and services that are available in Clackamas County and through local organizations, services such as Senior Companions, FIDO(Animeals), Energy Assistance, and Holiday Food Boxes.
For more information call 503-722-5979 (In-Office hours are 9am-1pm Monday - Friday).
In addition to many smaller donations that we make throughout the year, here are two fundraisers that we are involved with, coming in October and November.
Take a look! If you feel strongly about the cause, buy a ticket, enjoy a great meal and support a great cause!

Clackamas High School Musical Arts Program - NOVEMBER 3rd - Ainsworth House and Gardens, Gala Dinner
CHS Musical Arts is a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring the students of Clackamas High School have access to a high quality music program. When school budgets are stretched thin, music programs are often the first to see funding cuts. Donations made to CHS Musical Arts help the Clackamas band, choir, and orchestra programs afford uniforms, music, transportation costs, annual trips to compete in New York and Disneyland, and much more. Why the musical arts? Research shows that involvement in music programs can improve a student's IQ, test scores, language development, and helps them learn essential work skills and life lessons. Your donations help enrich the lives of over 200 CHS students and are 100% tax deductible! Tax ID 81-4924842 Contact(503) 309-2975 email@example.comFacebook
12-99, officer needs help - emergency.
This is the code every officer in the State of Oregon knows, but never wants to hear. When men and women enter law enforcement and take the oath to protect our communities, they make this commitment knowing the potential consequences, and yet, bravely do it anyway. Here at TCR Catering, we have the utmost of respect and gratitude for this selfless act.
Although no officer ever wants to hear it, unfortunately, 12-99 is sometimes called and reality is sometimes darkened. Sadly, when the tragedy no one wants to happen does, it is not only emotionally devastating for loved ones, but oftentimes financially burdensome as well. While there is a federally funded program to assist families, there can often be a long period of time before any benefits are received. Meanwhile, many families face unforeseen financial issues, and can be left unable to afford a proper tribute for their loved one.
The Oregon Fallen Badge Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that all fallen officers in the State of Oregon, receive the honorable and traditional ceremony they so rightfully deserve. The foundation works to provide this assistance at no cost to suffering families. Therefore, TCR will be CATERING for a CAUSE this summer, in an effort to honor our fallen heroes, by donating a portion of all summer proceeds, directly to the foundation.
It is our hope at TCR Catering, that no officer has to hear 12-99 over the police scanner this summer, and certainly hope it doesn’t lead to the loss of a brave and beloved officer. Thankfully, there is the Fallen Badge Foundation to provide if needed, and this summer enjoying fabulous food from TCR, will contribute towards those efforts.
Paying it forward is our PRIVILEGE!
